A great Italian-inspired spot in close proximity to many of the East Town Milwaukee destinations. Just about any type of pasta you can imagine (gnocchi, ravioli with many different cheese/veggie/meat fillings, and your more traditional noodle shapes) with well-paired and unique sauces. Calzones are also very good, including a "make your own" variety, and are a huge portion. The regular pizza, while good, is nothing particularly special. The waitstaff here are consistently competent, polite, and attentive - Probably the most consistently good service of any restaurant I have found at this price point in the Milwaukee area. Ambiance is lovely, a modern and peaceful feel among the bustle of the city outside. Full-service bar, good beer selection. Wine selection is OK, perhaps not as much selection as other Italian restaurants. If you come looking for your traditional pizza or generic marinara sauce pasta, you'll probably find it unremarkable and somewhat expensive. But if you come with an open mind for Italian-inspired modern fare, you won't be disappointed.

Incredible ambiance and friendly staff. The food looks and tastes amazing. Complimentary bread & oil is terrific. Definitely stop by while you're in Milwaukee!

Our second time at Louise's in the past 5 years. Sunday afternoon for an early dinner. Excellent food and service. And for those looking for leftovers for the next day, our meals were enough for two meals apiece! Very good value.

My wife had the lasagna and noted it was the best she has ever had. I had the Pappardelle with Italian Sausage, Plum Tomatoes, and Scallions which was amazing as well.Very nice ambiance and decor.

My boyfriend and I went there for the first time last night and we will definitely be back. Everything was great. Our server Richard was not only extremely professional, but had perfect timing and laughed at all of my bad jokes. And knew my Parks and Recreation reference. We don't go to nice restaurants often but next time we do we will be going to Louise's. Our food was absolutely amazing and I've never had better asparagus in my life. Seriously...BEST ASPARAGUS EVER. I got the chicken marsala (Which is one of my favorite dish's and have eaten it A LOT) and that was the best chicken marsala I've ever had. We started with the fried ravioli because WHAT?! FRIED ravioli? It was good and came out very quickly. Overall, definitely deserving of a 5 star review. I've never written a review for a restaurant before, but we felt very strongly about Louise's and wanted to let them know how much we appreciated your service, atmosphere and food. 5 stars for Louise's AND 5 stars for Richard! STAY COOL RICHARD, WE"LL BE BACK!

One of the 5 best restaurants in Milwaukee. Service is very good, food is always wonderful. Pair with a nice bottle of wine. Best to get reservations. If you are looking for a special dinning experience, hard to beat this place. A small room in a neighborhood setting.

I loved my dinner at Louise's! The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was top notch! Our waiter was extremely friendly and personable, as well as quicky and efficient. Also, the location is unbeatable, especially in the winter with all of the Christmas lights in Cathedral Square! I would highly recommend this place.

Absolutely phenomenal. Service was attentive, quick, and not annoying. Food was incredible, and I'd highly recommend any of their homemade pasta. Dessert options were lacking a bit, but it wasn't much of an issue.
